- Nominal pressure: Usually Expressed in pascals (Pa) or bars, the slight pressure refers to the maximum amount of force that a particular unit can withstand, which is directly proportional to the engine’s capacity.
- Nominal power: Expressed in watts or kilowatts, little power refers to the motor’s maximum capacity, which drives the entire function of the hydraulic unit.
- The nominal flow rate is expressed in liters per second or liters per minute; it pertains to the total volume of the hydraulic fluid pumped into the system at a given time.
It is crucial to calculate the power of the unit you choose; even though you find it beneficial to have extra power, excessive pressure can sometimes damage the hydraulic system’s components.
On the flip side, if insufficient energy is produced, the system will fail to operate. You must look at the size of the tank as its capacity is required to be sufficient to supply the hydraulic system as a whole according to the expected flow rate and utilization rate.
